AI-powered fleet monitoring · Charter · Owners
How often do you find out about a problem only when the boat is back in port — or worse, when the client calls from the sea? Sea Guardian connects to the Victron equipment on board and an AI analyses your fleet 24/7: alerts that explain what is happening and what to do, and weekly reports that predict failures before they happen. Something no other nautical app offers today.
Free for 1 boat · No card required · Works with your current Victron equipment
Cerbo GX · Color Control · SmartShunt · MPPT · MultiPlus · VRM
Charge, navigation, consumption, tanks and temperatures — updated every few minutes.
No extra hardware: if your boat has a Victron GX device connected to VRM, you are ready to go.
Every boat at its real position on a bathymetric chart: track sailed, heading, speed, local weather and waves.
Service and starter batteries, solar, AC/DC consumption, engine hours, temperatures, water and fuel. With full history.
Low battery, anchor drift, critical tank: the AI analyses the context and sends you on Telegram what is happening and what to do.
Draw the authorised sailing area of each charter and know instantly if they leave it — before it becomes a problem.
Tracking link for your clients, automatically logged trips and a post-charter PDF report with engine/sail breakdown.
Weekly AI trend analysis: battery degradation, abnormal consumption and preventive maintenance with estimated cost.
Artificial intelligence on board
Every week, Sea Guardian's AI analyses each boat's full history: battery degradation, abnormal consumption, temperatures and engine usage patterns. It spots the problem weeks before it strands you and tells you what to do, when, and what prevention costs versus repair.
One house battery saved in time: ~€60 of prevention versus €1,400+ replacement. Predictive maintenance saves thousands of euros a year across a fleet.

Average overnight discharge of 34% — it sits below 60% for too many hours, shortening its lifespan.

Generate an access token in your Victron VRM portal and paste it into Sea Guardian. See step-by-step guide.
Mark which installations are boats and start receiving data and alerts. Nothing to install on board.
For your installer or marine electrician
Sea Guardian reads data from the Victron VRM portal and classifies each sensor by the name given to it in the GX device console. With this chart, your installer gets the boat ready and everything shows up by itself when you create the account.
| Data in Sea Guardian | Where it connects | Name to set in the Cerbo |
|---|---|---|
| 🔋 Batteries (house & starter) | SmartShunt / BMV via VE.Direct. Starter: SmartShunt AUX input. | Starter battery on the AUX |
| 🌡️ Battery temperature | Smart Battery Sense (~€35) on the terminal, via Bluetooth — or a sensor on the SmartShunt AUX input. Detects prolonged charging, shorted cells and thermal risk in lithium. | Automatic, no setup |
| ☀️ Solar · ⚡ Loads · 🔌 Shore power | MPPT (VE.Direct) and MultiPlus/Quattro (VE.Bus). | Automatic, no setup |
| ⛽ Fuel | Cerbo tank inputs 1-4. Resistive sender (EU 0-180Ω / US 240-30Ω). | Fuel or Combustible |
| 💧 Fresh water · 🚽 Grey/black water | Remaining Cerbo tank inputs. | Fresh water · Black water |
| 🌡️ Engine temperature | Cerbo temperature input, Victron M8 sensor on cylinder head/cooling circuit. | Engine temperature |
| 🛏️ Cabin temperature | Another temperature input or a Ruuvi Bluetooth sensor. | Cabin temperature |
| 📍 GPS (position, heading, speed) | USB GPS (Victron GX GPS), NMEA2000 or GX LTE module with GPS. | Automatic, no setup |
| ⚙️ Engine running / 🚨 Bilge | Cerbo digital inputs 1-4: alternator D+/W signal, bilge float switch. | Settings → I/O → Digital inputs |
1 · Wire and name
The installer wires senders and sensors to the Cerbo GX and gives them the right name in Remote Console → Settings → I/O.
2 · Check in VRM
If the value shows in vrm.victronenergy.com, it is ready. Sea Guardian needs nothing else on board.
3 · Create the account
When you paste the VRM token, the sensors appear automatically classified in the dashboard. See token guide →

Quick guide · 2 minutes
The token is the read-only key that lets Sea Guardian see your boats' data in the Victron VRM portal. You generate it once and can revoke it at any time.
Go to vrm.victronenergy.com with your Victron username and password — the same account where you see your installations.
Click your name (top right) and choose Preferences / Preferencias.
In the side menu open Integrations → Access tokens and press Add / Generar nuevo token.
Give it a recognisable name (e.g. Sea Guardian) and press create. Copy the token right away: for security, VRM only shows it once.
In your Sea Guardian dashboard → Settings → VRM token, paste the token and save. Within a minute you will see your installations and can mark which ones are boats.
🔒 The token only allows read data. Sea Guardian never changes your equipment's configuration and you can revoke it from VRM at any time.

Any Victron GX device (Cerbo GX, Color Control GX, Venus GX...) connected to the internet and registered in the VRM portal. If you can already see your boat in VRM, Sea Guardian works with nothing else to install. Sensors connected to the GX (SmartShunt, MPPT, tank senders, GPS) appear automatically. Wiring chart for your installer →
1. Conecta el Cerbo a internet (WiFi, Ethernet o router 4G del barco).

Yes. Encrypted connection (HTTPS), each fleet isolated in its own account, and the VRM token is only used to read data — Sea Guardian never changes your equipment's configuration. You can revoke the token from VRM at any time.
Any time, with no lock-in. Move up or down a pack with the season — very handy if your charter fleet changes between winter and summer.
For now Sea Guardian requires a Victron GX device. If you are considering installing one, at FVComponentes we can advise you on the right kit for your boat (from ~€300 with GPS included).
All you need is your Victron VRM token. No installs, no extra hardware.
